AISI 420 and 420C stainless steel balls are martensitic stainless steels that can be hardened to achieve high strength and wear resistance. 420C stainless steel ball offers higher hardness due to increased carbon content, while 420 stainless steel ball provides relatively better corrosion resistance and toughness.
Also known as hardened stainless steel balls, AISI 420 and 420C stainless steel balls are used in applications requiring higher hardness and wear resistance than austenitic stainless steels.
AISI 420 and 420C stainless steel balls are manufactured from martensitic stainless steel and can be heat treated through hardening and tempering to achieve high strength and wear resistance.
420C stainless steel balls, with significantly higher carbon content, achieves higher hardness and is preferred for demanding wear-resistant applications. 420 stainless steel balls offer slightly better corrosion resistance and toughness, making it more suitable for applications where some corrosion resistance is still required.
